Shikhar Dhawan Summoned by ED for questioning in Illegal Betting App Case

Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today. ED has called him to its office for questioning on 4 September 2025. After Suresh Raina, Dhawan's name has appeared in the betting app 1xBet.

According to news agency PTI, Raina is going to reach the ED office shortly. It is to be noted that ED has intensified the investigation against online betting platforms.

ED is also focusing on the advertisements being done by film personalities and cricketers for banned betting platforms 1xBet, Fairplay, Parimatch, Lotus365.

Before Raina, ED has already questioned former cricketers like Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh.

In fact, the ED has now asked former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan to appear and join the investigation to clarify his role in promotional activities. Notably, Shikhar Dhawan's photo went viral on social media, due to which his name is being linked to online betting platforms.
